WEST BRANCH — The Ogemaw County Board of Commissioners voted 6-0 to approve a memorandum of understanding between the Northern Trasformation Corporation Michigan Works Region 7B Consortium and the Ogemaw County Economic Development Corporation at its Jan. 26 meeting.

Commissioner Greg Illig was absent.

The agreement will replace the one that the county previously had with the Michigan State University Extension for the county EDC.

The provisions of the agreement are subject to mutual agreement of the parties. The Ogemaw EDC board approved the agreement the night before.

Per the agreement, Ogemaw County will provide up to $35,000 per year to cover the costs of the full-time director. The agreement also includes a provision that allows any party to end the agreement on 120 days notice.
