Despite off-and-on rain, the inaugural Carter’s Running of the Hills event saw 60 participants show up. Event organizer Dorothy Munn said around 70 had signed up, but some didn’t show due to the weather. The event was held in memory of Carter Munn, who died shortly after he was born in 2008 after battling a congenital heart defect. Money raised will be split between the Ronald McDonald House and the University of Michigan C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital. The total amount raised was not immediately available.
