Four hospitalized following two-car accident

PRESCOTT — Four people were taken to the hospital Tuesday after a two-vehicle accident in Prescott.

The Ogemaw County Sheriff’s Department responded to the accident at the intersection of Sage Lake and Greenwood roads around 1:30 p.m. All four people involved in the crash were sent to MidMichigan Medical Center - West Branch with minor injuries, Sheriff’s Deputy Robert Weishuhn said.

Weishuhn said an 83-year-old female was driving northbound on Sage Lake Road when a second, eastbound vehicle driven by a 75-year-old man pulled in front of her. The second vehicle had two passengers, the driver’s 75-year-old wife and their 45-year-old son.

Drugs and alcohol were not involved, and there were no tickets given, Weishuhn said.

The Richland-Logan Fire Department, Ogemaw County EMS and D & N Towing assisted at the scene.
