Hopefully everyone comes out of this accident ok. Michigan has some pretty crazy ORV laws and these things are totally out of control in this state. Ask any LE Officer what they think about them. Besides destroying our Public Forests, they are on the roads. ORV driver better have some good liability insurance!
The same thing is going to happen on Rifle River Trl. It has become a race track. The vehicles mostly come from M55, going South. It's a straightaway, which allows for them to floor it. It has now become even more dangerous because people are racing, side by side and last week there was almost a tragic accident because of it, because of an oncoming car. When the events start at the Fairgrounds I'm afraid of what will happen. Those of us that live here just hold our breath every day and listen to the high speeds of the vehicles, with no cares about a deer running out, a child, etc. Some speeds, I would guess, are at least 70 mph in this residential area.
It would be great to see some police presence, possibly at the corner of M55 and Rifle River Trl. You could probably write a minimum of 30 tickets in one day, starting at 7:00 am. Racing on the streets here has become a game.
Thank you
