Mark Allen Wier, 57, of Trinity, Texas, formerly of Prescott, passed away suddenly Sunday, Jan. 27, 2019, while visiting family in Prescott.

He was born in Saginaw to Edward and Helen (Hall) Wier on Feb. 8, 1961. He graduated from Whittemore-Prescott High School and entered the U.S. Army and later the U.S. Navy, making the military his career. He retired after 22 years of military service in 2011. Mark loved riding motorcycles, playing computer games and getting out of work as he said he was retired.

Mark is survived by his wife, Annette Dooley of Trinity, Texas; children, Micah Lewis of West Branch, Shawn (Amanda) Wier of South Carolina, Michael Wier of South Carolina, Willow McLaren of Hale and Bailey Morris of Kansas; stepchildren, Tanya (Daniel) Baudreaux of Texas and Jeffery Dooley of Texas; 20 grandchildren; mother, Helen Smith of Prescott; siblings, Sherry Wier of Prescott, Terry (Rhonda) Wier of Prescott, Larry Wier of Oscoda, Dawn Jones of Prescott and Michael (Ashley) Wier of Oscoda; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ed; and brothers, Edward Jr. and Danny.
