LUPTON — After an investigation that police say spanned several years, state and local officers converged on a residence on Heath Road in Lupton to execute a series of search warrants to recover alleged stolen property.

“This is all in reference for stolen properties, breaking and entering and larceny,” Ogemaw County Sheriff’s Department Detective Dave Stahl said. “It encompasses several counties in Northern Michigan.”

These counties include Iosco, Oscoda, Montmorency, Alcona, Alpena, Roscommon and Ogemaw, according to Stahl.

Present at the scene were West Branch, Houghton Lake and Alpena state police branches; Roscommon, Ogemaw and Montmorency County sheriff’s departments; Rose City and West Branch police departments; Strike Team Investigative Narcotics Group; and Huron Undercover Narcotics Team.

Details in the case will be limited until it is turned over to Ogemaw County Prosecutor LaDonna Schultz and a suspect or suspects are arraigned on charges.
