Ralph Farley, 68, passed away Friday, Nov. 3, 2017, at his home in West Branch with his loving family by his side.

Ralph was born to Norman and Harriet (Osborne) Farley on Feb. 18, 1949, in West Branch, where he lived his entire life. He was a retired long-haul truck driver after driving for more than 39 years and owned Ralph’s Place Restaurant in Rose City. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and circle track racing, where he sponsored many cars, and spending time with his family. On Feb. 24, 2012, he married Rosalie Bassi in West Branch.

Ralph is survived by the love of his life, wife, Rosalie Farley of West Branch; children, Tonia (Wendell) Schwab of Marion, Jane Stewart of West Branch, Martha Stewart of Saginaw, Rosie Stewart of Saginaw and Jacob Stewart of Midland; grandchildren, CJ, Morgan, Avery and JJ; mother-in-law, Leona Morrison of Turner; sisters, Donna Cushman of Barryton, Judy (Jim) Dunn of West Branch, Rita Mathe of West Branch and Sharon (Art) Buck of West Branch; sisters-in-law, Julie Bassi of Hale, Pauline Ferns of Whittemore, Mary (Joseph) Smith of Montpelier, Ohio, Margaret (David) Currie of Grand Blanc, Karen (Bob) Farley of Prescott and Regina (Larry) Steinley of Turner; brothers-in-law, Peter (Michelle Penred) Bassi Jr. of Au Gres, James (Veronica) Bassi Sr. of Detroit, Ron (Roma) Bassi of Hale and Steven (Michelle) Bassi of Turner; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Harriet; sister, Margaret Farley; grandson, Nathan Schwab; nephew, Billy Slaterline Bassi; fathers-in-law, Peter Bassi Sr. and Carl Morrison; and brothers-in-law, Don Cushman and Richard Ferns Sr.

Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin Monday, Nov. 6, 2017, from 2-9 p.m. with a rosary at 6:30 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2017, at 11 a.m. with visitation starting at 10 a.m. Deacon Glen Painter will officiate.
