Residents meet quilt quota for nonprofit

Posted

West Branch residents got a chance to check out and purchase quilts and handmade products from area residents at the 33rd annual Quilt Walk from Thursday, Oct. 5, through Saturday, Oct. 7.

Participants purchased a $5 passport and voted for their favorite quilt after they saw each display.

There were 14 locations attendees could visit that included many area businesses.

All funds from the purchased quilts were donated to Hospice of Helping Hands, a nonprofit organization that has provided hospice care to the area since 1979.
