West Branch Memorial Day parade and ceremony honors those who have been lost

Posted

Area residents gathered along Houghton Avenue and at the Ogemaw County Veterans Memorial to honor those veterans who have fallen Monday. People battled the high temperatures to come and pay tribute to area veterans during the annual parade and ceremony. During the ceremony, the names of all of the veterans in Ogemaw County who have died in the last year were read, and they were honored with a wreath that was placed at the base of the memorial.

Very nice! Not sure how anybody can do things outside in the West Branch area. The mosquitoes are so awful this year!

I thought it was just our area, but Hale is bad too. Even Walmart was completely out of a whole shelf full of insect bite products. The employee told me they were out for a week now! Be careful. Do what you have to do to protect yourself and your families. Jmo
