Kirtland’s warbler needs your help The Huron-Manistee National Forests Mio Ranger District is now accepting entries for the 2023 Kirtland’s Warbler Young Artists Contest from students kindergarten through eighth grades. Almost 800 entries were received in 2022 from individual students and classrooms across the Great Lakes and The Bahamas.

OGEMAW COUNTY— The Wertz Warriors kicked off their annual snowmobile endurance ride Jan. 29 in Chesterfield Township. The Warriors travel for 900 miles across Michigan to raise awareness of Special Olympics. Members hold fundraisers throughout the year to fund the winter games in Michigan.
