Kristin Fest was held at the Ogemaw County Fairgrounds May 20. A cornhole tournament is the main attraction: this years winners are Zach Kimball and Tom Nelson. The fundraiser benefits the Krisitn Marie Provoast Memorial Scholarship fund.

Falcons baseball tops Pinconning

Ogemaw Heights walked away with a victory against Pinconning, 12-8, in the first game of a double header May 24. Angel Potter was credited with the win, allowing eight hits and six runs over four innings, striking out five. Cameron Miller threw the last three innings, earning the save for the Falcons. Ogemaw Heights racked up 11 hits in the game. Potter, Miller and Robbie Hock each managed multiple hits for the Falcons.

Ogemaw Heights defeated Tawas 2-0 in the first game of the Ogemaw Heights Wood Bat Tournament May 20. Angel Potter was the winning pitcher while Nik Klein got the save for the Falcons. Brayden Provoast went 2-for-3 to lead the Falcons in hits.

The Ogemaw Heights High School boys varsity golf team played in the Gaylord Blue Devil Invitational May 17 at The Tribute golf course. The team finished sixth out of 13 teams.

OH baseball sees mixed results

Nik Klein threw a gem on Monday, May 15. He did not allow any runs and bested Garber by a score of 2-0 in the first game of the double header. Klein allowed three hits, and struck out seven. Xander Kartes and Kooper Klann managed one hit to pace the Falcons to victory.

Falcon track and field teams had a great day as both boys and girls brought home the Chip in the Large School Division of the Falcon Invitational April 29. The boys improved their season record to 31 and 3, while the girls improved to 29 and 7.
