The Ogemaw Heights boys varsity golf team hosted the Falcon Invitational at West Branch Country Club May 4. The team finished in second place out of 13 teams.
The morning of Saturday Apr. 29 was a busy one at the West Branch Little League fields as the season opened. All teams gathered at field one for the opening ceremony. Sara Ede sang the national anthem and Dave Drabek threw the opening pitch.

Ogemaw Heights High School boys varsity golf team hosted The Nightmare/Dream Two Day Invitational Apr. 20-21. Eighteen teams participated, from as far south as the Detroit area and as far north as Cheboygan.
After ice and snow cover melt on Michigan lakes this spring, it may be more likely for people to discover dead fish or other aquatic animals. While such sights can be startling, the Michigan Department of Natural Resources stated it a normal occurrence as winter conditions can cause fish and other creatures such as turtles, frogs, toads, and crayfish to die.

Ogemaw Heights ran off with the lead late in the first game of a double header Apr. 24 against Mio AuSable, resulting in a 9-3 victory. The Falcons secured the victory thanks to five runs in the fifth inning. Xander Kartes and Hudson Hodgins each had runs batted in the frame. Brayden Provoast got the win on the mound for the Falcons and TJ Bailey recorded the save. The Falcons tallied 11 hits. Angel Potter, Hodgins and Kartes each managed multiple hits.
