Memorial Day parade called off


At the May 13 County Commissioners meeting, Jeff L. Nichols announced the Memorial Day Parade is cancelled. Nichols said, “unfortunately with COVID 19, along with are decreasing numbers and age of our participating veterans.” Nichols said there will still be a Memorial Day ceremony taking place at 11:30 AM at the Veterans Memorial in West Branch.

The May 15 West Branch Animal Meet went very well. There were all sorts of birds there. Many people selling chickens and ducks while others were selling geese and turkeys.
