Sara Elizabeth Burns, age 33, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, in Clare County, MI. She was born on January 11, 1989, in Detroit, MI to James Burns and Lorrie Martin.

Sara lived in Houghton Lake, MI for a year formerly of St. Helen, MI. She graduated from Troy High School in 2008 and attended Henry Ford College.

She worked at Walmart in West Branch for the past eight years. Sara enjoyed crafting, painting, and caring for her children.

Sara is survived by her son Gabe Burns of St.

Helen; daughter McKenzie Smith of St. Helen; father James (Crystal) Burns of Warren, MI; sister Heather Marchwinski of Troy, MI; stepbrothers Alex, Richard, Donald, and Trevor; siblings Astar, Carol Ann, Jemma, Tom, Bryttni and Austin; stepfather Donald Marchwinski of Westland, MI; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her mother Lorrie.

Visitation was held at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in St. Helen Monday, February 6, 2023, from 2-8 p.m. A graveside service was held Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at 11 a.m. at the Fairview Cemetery in St. Helen.
