Rhea Kathleen McGregor

God called Rhea Kathleen McGregor home on Friday, March 24, 2023. Her husband and daughter were by her side when she passed away. Rhea had been a patient at The Villa in Rose City for the last seven years.

Rhea, the youngest daughter of John and Iris Hildabrand, was born Oct. 29, 1937. She grew up in Rose City, Michigan, and graduated from Rose City High School in 1956. She moved to Saginaw, MI and worked for the U.S. Post Office from 1967 until her retirement in 1992.

Rhea is preceded in death by her parents and her sisters Maggie Balla, Jerry Reasoner and Jackie Brown, all of Rose City.

She is survived by her loving husband Jack McGregor, sister Gwen Hale and children Dan (Rita) Mason, John Mason, Carl (Kendlee) McGregor, Gerry (Dina) Mason, Bob (Kimi Shugart) McGregor, Terri (John) Lepeak and Tina Saville (Archie Tacderas).

She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.

Jack and Rhea belong to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church of Rose City where she was a faithful parishioner. Rhea was an avid gardener, crafter, reader and painter. In her youth she loved horses and in her later life had several very spoiled cats. Rhea will be truly missed by many.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will take place Saturday, April 29 at 11 a.m. at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 165 E. Sage Lake Road, Rose City, MI 48654.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the church in her name.
