Virginia Ruth McKellar, age 99, passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at The Villa at Rose City. She was born on December 13, 1923, in Pigeon, MI to Herman and Minnie (Kohn) Eimers. lived in Rose City since 1963, formerly of Saginaw.

Virginia was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Rose City and the United Methodist Women. She enjoyed spending time with her family.

Virginia is survived by her daughters, Dawn (Michael) Sickles of Oscoda and Glenda (Mike) Brick of Rose City; sons-in-law Herman Hendricks of Battle Creek and Larry Walton of Walton, KY; 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; and special family member Linda Wend of Rose City.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Alvin McKellar, sons Dennis and Delbert McKellar, daughters Beverly Hendricks and Sherry Walton, grandson Todd Walton, and friend Perry Dare.

Visitation was held at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in Rose City Sunday, March 26, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. The funeral service was held at the funeral home on Monday, March 27, at 11 a.m. with visitation starting at 10 a.m. Burial was at Lane Heights Cemetery in Lupton. Pastor Helen Alford officiated.
