Robert Allen Roman Sr.

Robert Allen Roman, age 86, passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2023, at his home in Rose City, Michigan after a long illness. He was born on June 13, 1936 in Detroit, MI, to Charles and Beatrice Roman, moving to Brighton with his family and younger sister a few years later. He lived in Michigan most of his life, and spent the last 20 years in Punta Gorda, Florida, returning to the Rose City area for the summers with his wife of almost 30 years, Jackie A Roman.

Bob grew up in Brighton, Michigan, graduating from Brighton High School in 1954. After owning a couple other businesses in Wixom and Plymouth/Canton, MI, he purchased Cold Saws Inc and moved the business up to Rose City until he retired to Florida in 2003. In his younger years, he served in the Michigan Army National Guard and began his “other” career, building or remodeling various custom homes in Brighton, Howell, Canton, Alger, Died May 18, 2023

He is survived by his wife, Jackie, and their combined family of adult children and step children; Katherine (Rick) Moeller of Littleton, CO; Robert A Roman Jr. of Southfield, MI; Michael Roman of Rose City, MI; Cynthia (Roman) Johnson of Parker, CO; Nicole (Roman) Hunter of Howell, MI; Douglas E Clark, Jr. of Rose City, MI; and Cynthia (Steve) Westphal of Howell, MI; and brother- in-law, Bill Faloon of Punta Gorda, FL; along with 20 grandchildren, 18 great grandchil-dren, 1 great, great grandchild, a niece and nephew and various great nieces/ nephews.

He was preceded by his parents, Charles & Beatrice and his sister and brother-in-law, Rose & Van Harper, all of Punta Gorda, FL; also his stepsons Cris Wells of Westland, MI and Joseph Clark of Venice, FL.

The Celebration of Life service will be held at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in Rose City on Saturday, June 17th at 1:00 p.m. with visitation starting at 12:00 p.m. A luncheon will be pro-vided by the Rose City Café after the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests the planting of a tree through the Obituary website, or a memorial contribution made to the Hospice of Angels Foundation, in affiliation with Compassus Living Foundation at www.hospiceangels.org.
