Betty M. Bonner

Died April 10, 2018


Betty M. Bonner, 87, of Glennie passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at Tawas St. Joseph Hospital.

She was born in Carleton on May 17, 1930, to John and Irene (Weber) Cronenwett. She was the current treasurer for Curtis Township, having held the office for 19 years. She loved doing crossword puzzles, reading the newspapers, watching TV and tending to her flower gardens. She truly enjoyed being with her grandkids. Betty was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oscoda.

Betty is survived by her children, Thomas (Mary) Bonner of Chula Vista, Calif., Joyce Bonner of Roseville, Barbara (Scott) LeForce of West Branch and Kathy Bonner of Glennie; brother-in-law, Robert Suchy of Melvindale; grandchildren, Christie Keefer, Wayne Keefer, Karen Bonner and Timothy (Heather) LeForce; great-grandchildren, Olivia and Harper LeForce and Elijah Johnston; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Philip Bonner; son, John Bonner; brother, Bernard Cronenwett; and sisters, Rosemary Fred and Lois Suchy.

Visitation will take place Tuesday, April 17, 2018, from 2-8 p.m. at the Buresh Funeral Home in Hale. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, April 18, at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oscoda with a visitation one hour prior to Mass from 10-11 a.m. Interment will take place at a later date in Curtisville Cemetery.
