Dorothy Van Wormer (Quigley) Wiltse of Grand Blanc, 101, passed away Jan. 19, 2018, at Genesee Care Center.

Dorothy was born in Ogemaw County (Selkirk) on Sept. 14, 1916, daughter of the late Mont and Rhoda (Quigley) Van Wormer. She lived in West Branch, Flint, Paradise, Au Gres and Grand Blanc. Dorothy was a member of the Community of Christ Church since 1942 and a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in West Branch. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, traveling, reading, playing euchre, fishing, baking and spending time with her family and friends. One of her proudest achievements was walking the Big Mac Bridge on Labor Day a number of times, most recently at the age of 92.

Dorothy is survived by her six children, Duane (Jan), Joyce Kovacs, Larry (Kathy), Jeannie (Pat) Craton, Phyllis (Ken) Kinyon and Harold (Mary K.). She was a beloved grandmother of 25 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-great-grandchildren. She was also survived by sister-in-law, Elsie Wiltse; numerous nieces, nephews and friends; as well as Arnold’s family.

She was preceded in death by husbands, Earl Wiltse in 1982 and Arnold Quigley in 2007; sons-in-law, Ron Kovacs and Roger Jones; grandson, Scot Kovacs; all seven of her siblings and their spouses.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018, at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. Visitation will be from noon until time of service on Saturday. Burial of cremated remains will be in Selkirk Cemetery, West Branch, on the first Sunday in August. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of choice.
