Estelle E. "Snook" Bridgman

Died Jan. 9, 2019


Estelle Edith “Snook” Bridgman, 77, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2019, at her home in Prescott.

She was born Dec. 7, 1941, in Detroit to Albert and Esther (Piehl) Pollum. Estelle lived in Prescott since 1976, formerly of Garden City. She was a member of the Ladies of the Moose Skidway Chapter. She was a licensed beautician and a cook for a few restaurants throughout the years. She cooked for the Moose Lodge, Driftwood and 7-Eleven in Skidway Lake. Estelle also worked at the IGA in Skidway. She was a big Tigers and Lions fan and enjoyed flowers, reading books, going to Canada and shopping. Estelle loved to cook for anyone who would come to visit. She cherished any time she had with her family.

Estelle is survived by her son, LeRoy (Lori) Bridgman of Freeland; daughter, Kris “Suzie” (Doug) Brown of Plymouth; grandchildren, Lynn-Ann (Matt) McMullen and Cody (Becky Sobieray) Bourcier; great-grandchildren, Raegan, Arianna, Kailey, Mila and Bruce; brother, Albert (Pat) Pollum of Oscoda; sister-in-law, Barb Sandberg of Garden City; and many nephews, nieces, great-nephews and -nieces. She was loved by many.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce LeRoy, in 2012; grandsons, Nate Bridgman and Tyler Bourcier; and great-grandson, Riley.

A memorial service will be held at the Moose Lodge in Skidway Lake on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2019, at 2 p.m.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Ogemaw County Veterans Alliance. Arrangements were handled by Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch,
