Event cancelations, postponements and reschedulings in Ogemaw County


The Ogemaw Hills Church has suspended all gatherings and activities, including Sunday services, through Sunday, April 5. 

The Ogemaw Commission on Aging has closed and may reopen by April 6. Home-delivered meals are still available, and they will have to-go meals available. Please call ahead to 989-345-3010, ext. 201 for to-go meals. 

The 13th Annual West Branch Optimist Club Camel Races, scheduled for Saturday, March 21, has been postponed and will be rescheduled for a later date. 

The 2020 Ogemaw County Business and Community Expo and Job Fair, scheduled for March 24, has been postponed.

Alger Parks and Rec has canceled its April 4 Easter Egg Hunt.

The Cardinal Optimist Club Craft Show has been rescheduled for May 16 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at the 3 County Club in Skidway Lake. 

If you plan on attending an event or gathering between now and mid-April, it is recommended you call ahead to confirm it is still taking place. Those who manage organizations and churches that have event cancellations, postponements and reschedulings due to concerns regarding the COVID-19 outbreak can contact the Ogemaw County Herald, and we will include them in notices online and in print free of charge.
