Falcons travel to Upper Peninsula for playoff game



WEST BRANCH — Members of the downtown West Branch business community had the opportunity to voice their support for the Ogemaw Heights High School varsity football team Friday, Oct. 29.

At approximately 11 a.m. that day, two busses containing members of the team drove through downtown West Branch on their way to Kingsford, located in the Upper Peninsula. According to the Michigan High School Athletic Association website, the Falcons are scheduled to take on the Kingsford Flivvers in Division 4 playoff action at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30.

I was thinking the same thing... The only excuse would be something along the lines of this way being cheaper....

Hell have them hitch hike that would even be cheaper. I mean how dare they take a charterbus that was paid by the football booster and student athlete buy selling cards and parking cars during the 90 degree heat of summer. The ungratefull little brats. They should be happy to ride in the back of an open livestock hauler for 6 and a half hours to the up to represent our town.
