Film Fest workshop goes on despite snow

Posted

WEST BRANCH — The West Branch Children’s Film Festival held its second workshop Feb. 21, as area residents were taught how to audition by Cassandra Fisher, a professor of theater at Kirtland Community College. Despite a near-blizzard outside — the second time the film fest’s workshops have been plagued by snow —?a large crowd showed up for the session. Fisher offered tips on auditioning and gave some examples of what producers and directors might be looking for. Following that, participants were given the chance to volunteer to read a monologue in front of the group and practice auditioning. The next workshop is tentatively scheduled for March 21 and will revolve around sound and lighting.
