Kaye Wood, 83, of Sun City, Ariz., originally of West Branch, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, July 21, 2019.

She hosted 40 seasons of PBS-TV’s “Kaye’s Quilting Friends.” She also taught quilting internationally in Holland, Germany, Denmark, Mexico and Canada, as well as on board cruise ships in the Caribbean.

Kaye is well-known for her charity quilt project, LoveQuilt Connection, where the “6 Hour Quilt” is made at quilt shows, schools and community service events, then donated to police, fire and charities.

Kaye was preceded in death by her husband, Bill (2010); son, John and his wife Resia (2014) of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and son, Jim (2006) of San Diego, Calif.

She is survived by daughter, Terrye (Dean) of West Branch; son, Bill (Helen) of Nashville, Tenn.; son, Mike (Yunmi) of Los Angeles, Calif.; and son, Hua of San Diego, Calif.; grandchildren, Connie, Karie, Kayla, Dani, Bill, Alex, Erin, Samm, Dan, Josh, Kevin, Lisa and Ethan; and great-grandchildren, Gavin, Faith, Hannah, Samantha, Joe, Gracie, Amelia, Thorin, Dalton, Chloe and Laiklynn.
