Kim Dean Card, 67, passed away Friday, Oct. 18, 2019, with his family beside him at MidMichigan Medical Center - Midland.

Kim was born Jan. 5, 1952, in West Branch to the late Bernard and Sylvia (Neubecker) Card. He lived in Rose City all of his life. On Oct. 24, 1970, he married his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Jean Oyster.

Kim was self-employed, owner of Card’s Park & Sell. He was a former volunteer fireman and EMT driver for the Rose City Fire Department. Kim was a member of the West Branch Moose Lodge. He loved hunting and being in the outdoors. He was a very giving, compassionate and thoughtful person. Kim enjoyed spending time with his family.

Kim is survived by his loving wife, Jean Card of Rose City; children, Lori (Brian) Card-Stroik of Commerce Township and Rob Card of Rose City; grandchildren, Zaxhery (Alicia) Sapp of Mecosta and Kristian Card (Scott Saunders) of Alger; great-grandchildren, Oakley Sapp, Paisley Saunders and Aiden Saunders; brothers, Roger (Margo) Card of Canadian Lakes, Jim (Jan) Card of Shepherd and Jack (Kimberely) Card of Gaylord; sister, Carol Weston of West Branch; along with many nephews, nieces and friends.

He was preceded in death by his dad, Bernard; mother, Sylvia; and nephew, Glen Hayes.

According to Kim’s wishes, cremation has taken place.

A celebration of Kim’s life will be held Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2019, with visitation at 10 a.m. followed by Mass at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 402 W. Peters Rd., West Branch, MI 48661. Father Emmanuel Finbarr will officiate.
