Linda L. Putnam, 79, of East Tawas, formerly of Lupton, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2019.

Linda was born in Detroit on March 19, 1940, to Edward and Dorothy Louise (Clemens) Ford. She married Richard Putnam at the Jefferson Avenue Baptist Church in Detroit on Sept. 3, 1960. Linda worked as a secretary for Smith Hague Brokerage Firm in Detroit, Fast Cut Tool in Warren and Putnam Products, and retired from Balzers Tool in Harrison Township. The couple settled in Lupton in 2006 from Kimball Township. Linda was a member of the Mio Baptist Church. She taught Sunday School, singing in the choir. She enjoyed knitting, cooking, baking, crossword puzzles, archery, bowling and gardening. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Linda was known for her dinner rolls, and was always ready to serve and help others.

Linda is survived by her husband, Richard Putnam of Lupton; her children, Cheryl (David) Beyer of Midland; Craig (Lori) Putnam of Windsor, Ontario; and Keith (Becky) Putnam of Macomb; eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild and one expected great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Dorothy Louise Ford; and two brothers.

Visitation will be Friday, May 17, 2019, from 6-8 p.m. at the Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, and again on Saturday, May 18, from noon until funeral services at 1 p.m. at the Mio Baptist Church, Mio, with Pastor Glynn McMorris officiating. Interment at Lane Heights Cemetery, Lupton.
