Beloved husband and son, Noel Xavier Kurtz, 49, of Bath passed away July 9, 2019.

Noel was born June 28, 1970, in West Branch. He graduated from Ogemaw Heights High School, and from Michigan State University with an accounting degree. He was an extremely dedicated, hard worker for General Motors for many years. He began his career with General Motors working on the line, and soon after graduating from MSU, he moved into various office positions. He was currently working in Lansing.

Noel loved sports and collecting sports cards. Noel always loved the outdoors, especially times spent at the family cabin on the Muskegon River. He loved spoiling the nieces, nephews and his cats. Noel enjoyed going to the movies and eating out. He was a man of few words, but his keen intelligence and wit always left you smiling.

He was preceded in death by his father, John; maternal grandparents, Mildred and James Fox; paternal grandparents, Rita and Al Kurtz; and mother-in-law, Edith Disinger.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Nicole (Elenbaas) Kurtz; his two cats, Ellie and Tina; mother, Susann (Jim) Kurtz; siblings, Peter (Gwen) Kurtz, Leslie (Ed) McShane, Jill (Frank) Polese, Nancy (Brian) Marsh and Amanda (Jeff) Long; father- and mother-in-law, Rick and Penny Elenbaas; brothers-in-law, Rick Jr. (Melissa) Elenbaas and Lenny (April) Snoap; sisters-in-law, Jessica Elenbaas and Lisa Elenbaas; nieces and nephews, Ricky III, Brooklynn, Sydney, Katie, Dylan, Jamzyn, Jakob, Dominic, Larry, Meckenzie, Joseph, Chandler, Isabella, Madison, Collin, Bianca and Kendyl; and great-nephews, River and Tavyn.

A memorial celebration will be held at 1 p.m. July 20, 2019, at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 E. Washington, DeWitt, MI 48820, with a one-hour prior visitation.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ionia Animal Shelter, 3853 Sparrow Drive, Ionia, MI 48846, a charity of your choice, or to the family. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.grdewitt.com.
