Ogemaw Youth Theater sparkles in rehearsal ahead of ‘Bye Bye Birdie’ performance

WEST BRANCH — The Ogemaw Youth Theatre will transport its audience to another era with its colorful, lighthearted rendition of the musical “Bye Bye Birdie” July 11-12.

The Herald can vouch for this, as it was invited to take pictures of the dress rehearsal July 3.

There will be two performances of the play, July 11 and 12, both at 7 p.m. in the Ogemaw Heights High School auditorium. Tickets are $6 per person and are available for advance sale at The Silver Lining in West Branch.

“I hope people can come out and see the show,” Director Toni Thomas said. “We are air-conditioned now. It’s a comfortable way to spend the evening and get some entertainment.”

For the full feature on the production, look for the next issue of the Ogemaw County Herald.
