Patricia Ann Schliter, 84, of Clio, Michigan died Thursday, Nov. 14, 2019 at her residence.

Patricia was born Sept. 27, 1935 in Edwards Township, Michigan to the late Harry D. and Elizabeth (Knepfler) Buckel.

She graduated from Winegar School in Gladwin. On January 8, 1955 she married Arzell Schliter in West Branch, Michigan. She worked as a letter carrier for the USPS for over 26 years, retiring in 1992. Patricia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved her family. Patricia enjoyed travel, camping, gardening, reading and was an avid Detroit Tigers fan. She was the family “organizer” that could rally the troops. Patricia attended Saints Charles and Helena Catholic Church and was active in numerous areas of service and functions within the church. She was also a member of the Angelic Red Hat Society. As an active board member, Patricia was involved in the transitioning of the old senior center to the new Clio Senior Center.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Gregory (Kelly) Schliter of Clio, Rodney (Deborah) Schliter of Clio, Beth (Ray) Lind of Phoenix AZ, and Lori (Alan) Augustine of Lyons; brother, Charles (Pauline); grandchildren; Brandy Barker, Jennifer Lind-Schutsky, Stephanie Schliter, Kayla Greninger, Brittany Lind, and Zac Schliter; grandson-in-law, Cayle McElhiney; 8 great-grandchildren; close friends, especially Pat Crooks and Nicole Binelli, and her dog best friend, Daisy.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arzell (Art) in 1983; sons; Bruce and Keith; granddaughter, Jessica McElhiney; brothers; Edward Buckel, Robert Buckel, and Russell Buckel; and sister, Judith Schick.

The family will receive visitors at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio, Michigan on Monday, November 18, 2019 from 1-8 p.m. with a scripture prayer service at 7 p.m. Monday evening. Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated, in memory of Patricia, at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at Saints Charles & Helena Church in Clio.
