Robert Douglas Rohl, 78, passed away Friday, Aug. 2, 2019, in Rose City.

He was born May 15, 1941, in Rose City to Alex and Ina Rohl. Robert lived in Rose City for all of his life. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. He graduated from Rose City High School in 1960. On June 20, 1987, he married Beverley Krause in Rose City and he was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Rose City. Robert enjoyed fishing, golfing, bowling and giving people a hard time.

Robert is survived by his loving wife, Beverley Rohl of Rose City; sisters, Patricia (Karl) Hawkins of Flint and Dorothy Louise (Donald) Balius of Gautier, Ms.; nephew, Scott Washburn of West Branch; and niece, Debby (Chris) Davis of Rose City; and many other nieces, nephews and great-nieces and -nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers and three sisters, Richard (Roberta) Kelly, Marion Kelly Whitman, Kenneth Kelly, Marjorie (Carl) Kelly Robinson, Jr. (Joyce) Rohl, Mary Hartman and Donald (June) Rohl.

The funeral service with veteran honors will be held at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in Rose City on Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2019, at 1 p.m. with visitation starting at 11 a.m. Deacon Glen Painter will officiate.
