Stanley J. Krogulecki, 76, of Lapeer passed away Sept. 1, 2019, with his family at his side in the comfort of his own home.

Stan was survived by his children, Kathryn (Josh) Brunner and Kevin Krogulecki; along with brothers, Conrad and Michael (Lisa); sister, Mary Ann Martin; and grandchildren, Braden, Brooklyn and Anabella.

Stan lived a full and purposeful life, which began in Livonia. His journey led him to attend Orchard Lake St. Mary’s High School, where he was a five varsity letter athlete with an exceptional baseball career garnering significant interest from major collegiate programs and professional organizations. Stan forewent these opportunities to follow his passion of helping others and joined the seminary, eventually leading to the priesthood within the Detroit Diocese. After more than a decade serving in the priesthood, Stan left the church to continue his passion of helping others as a substance abuse counselor in the Detroit area.

Stan married and relocated north to West Branch, where he began his life as a father to his two children and husband to his wife Barb. He continued his career of counseling and eventually entered the real estate business, remaining active in his community through St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Stan enjoyed many hobbies, but especially golf, where he spent his time with friends at the West Branch Country Club. He was also active in coaching his young kids in various sports and remained a volunteer for their high school sporting events.

Stan eventually relocated to Lapeer and was a major care provider for his mother Mary along with his siblings in her final days. Stan lived a life full of helping others and was able to continue instilling his wisdom into his three grandchildren and others throughout the rest of his life. The many lives Stan impacted and his willingness to serve others will not be forgotten.
