Thousands without power after freezing rain, wind


NORTHERN MICHIGAN — Roughly 20 percent of Consumers Energy customers in Ogemaw County and 5 percent in Arenac County were without power Friday morning. 

Freezing rain and high winds knocked out power across much of the state Thursday night into Friday morning. In Ogemaw County, approximately 3,638 customers were without power according to the Consumers Energy Outage Map. Approximately 575 in Arenac County were without power. 

Restoration time was estimated at 11 p.m. Friday.
