To anyone trying to bring movie production to WB

Posted by

As a reporter for the Arenac County Independent, but a citizen of Ogemaw County, I am really interested in getting involved with Mr. Fabbri's group. How can I get involved?

I really want to get a West Branch weekend film festival started and ready for next summer. I feel this will show the community has an appreciation for the art of film, bring in out-of-towners, spur business in the city and give people in West Branch something to do and take pride in.

If anyone wants to hear my ideas or help me get a hold of the people I need to get a hold of, please comment.

Thank you!

BTW, I am a Broadcast and Cinematic Arts major and was involved for three years with the Central Michigan University Film Society. We hosted an international film festival annually and it grew to be a pretty huge event.

Give me a call. There is interest in having a film festival here in West Branch. We are looking for the right people to head it up. I believe it can happen next summer with the right amount of effort. A film festival would be a natural fit to the growing art and music cultures in our community. Call me at The Silver Lining 345-5226.

Pete Fabbri
