Two-vehicle accident results in minor injuries at Houghton and Valley

WEST BRANCH — A two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Houghton Avenue and Valley Street resulted in minor injuries at approximately 3:10 p.m. Oct. 31.

According to West Branch Police Corporal Joseph Adams, a 2016 Subaru Forester driven by a 70-year-old West Branch woman was at a stop sign at Houghton and Valley and made a left to go west on Houghton. The Forester collided with the passenger side of a 2008 Ford Super Duty headed east on Houghton, driven by a 16-year-old West Branch man.

No occupants were involved. The 70-year-old reported minor injuries but refused transportation by EMS.

The West Branch Police, Michigan State Police, Ogemaw County Sheriff’s Department, Ogemaw County EMS, Ogemaw County Central Dispatch, HD Towing and D&N Towing assisted with the incident.
