Wild West Show to take over downtown West Branch

Posted

WEST BRANCH — For the third year, Super Kicker Rodeo Production is coming to downtown West Branch Aug. 2, transforming part of Houghton Avenue into a bull-riding arena.

The free event promises two hours of bull-riding to watch, as well as a couple activities for children — mutton busting and a boot scramble. In mutton busting, children ride sheep, and the boot scramble involves children racing to find their boot in a pile, put it back on and run to the finish line. There will also be concessions and live music.

Because of the event’s growing popularity, additional bleachers have been rented to seat another 520 people.

The event takes place under the light in downtown West Branch, from 7-9 p.m.
