I’m generally not on top of popular culture, nor am I tuned into the film world, but Barbie, the movie, was too big to miss. I have not seen the film, but I have watched all the trailers; the scene in which a high-heeled, pink satin pump and a brown Birkenstock sandal are held up as the contrast between Barbie Land and the Real Word pretty much guaranteed that I will eventually watch this movie.
