As a new year begins for us Oct. 1, we look forward to things to come. Be a part of our team. The Kiwanis Club meets at noon the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month at China Inn in West Branch. Aktion Club of West Branch

The Aktion Club continues to collect bottles and cans. Call 315-725-1199 to make arrangements for pick up or drop off locations.

We donated school supplies to Rose City and Surline Elementary Schools this year. We will be helping at MidMichigan Halloween at Tollfree Park 5-8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Oct. 18-19. Our next fund raiser is tRed Pin Bowling Nov. 2. Call 315-725-1199 to sign up. We will have Luck of the Draw and a bake sale there as well. Stop in to support our special needs organization.

We support numerous organizations in Ogemaw County. Those with special needs interested in joining our club, come on the second Wednesday of the month at noon to United Methodist Church at the corner of Fairview and State Streets.

Ogemaw County Food Pantry

Please donate food or money to help us with the influx of families in need. We take donations every Wednesday from 8:30-11a.m. Thank you for your assistance. The pantry is located in the outreach garage behind Trinity Episcopal Church, 100 E. Houghton Ave., West Branch. Thanks to those who have donated. Golden Key Camp

Please donate tents, new or in good condition, Oct. 12 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Ogemaw Lanes, 2357 S. M-76 in West Branch. Golden Key Camp is going to try to make the Guinness record book for the most tents set up end to end. The tents will be set up at the camp Nov. 30. Please help this cause. The camp is looking for your help.
