Knights of Columbus #8948 sponsored the Snow Box Derby Feb. 2 on the big hill at City Park in Rose City.
Learn to prune fruit trees this Saturday
Join the Ogemaw Conservation District for a Fruit Tree Renovation Workshop, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8 at Klacking Township Hall, 405 N Campbell Rd, West Branch. RSVP by calling 989-942-4669. The cost of the workshop is $5. Lunch is provided.
Snow Box Derby this Sunday
The annual Snow Box Derby, sponsored by Knights of Columbus #8948, will be held Sunday Feb. 2 at City Park in Rose City. Current conditions and forecast look favorable for this year’s event. The event usually attracts 20-30 entrants, but participation was down last year due to lack of snow.
Under the Lights
There was snow on the hill in Rose City Park and more snow falling during Sledding Under the Lights Jan. 25. The event was well attended. Following a spell of extreme cold, sledders were happy to be out of the house enjoying winter fun.
