The 45th Victorian Art Fair takes place this weekend, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 9. Admission is free. Please note that pets are not allowed at the art fair.

Join Ogemaw East Branch Library for the third annual National Night Out and Community Resource Fair Tuesday, Aug. 5, 5 to 8 p.m. on Washington Street in the Village of Prescott.
Artists and craftsmen will set up booths August 9-10 for the 45th Victorian Art Fair at Irons Park in West Branch. The fair is open Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free.

For the first time in history more than 100 boats have finished the AuSable River Canoe Marathon. The event, which took place overnight July 26-27, included 230 competitors from Michigan, 18 other U.S. states, Canada, Great Britain and Beliz, and drew thousands of spectators.

Pioneer Power presented its 32nd annual Antique Tractor and Engine Show July 17-20 at the club’s show grounds east of West Branch. Vintage tractors and gas engines are featured and artifacts of the pioneer past are exhibited in several buildings on the property.
