The Cardinal Optimist Club of Skidway Lake held a free fishing derby for kids 16 and under June 7 on the boardwalk in Skidway lake.

The Mills Township Board of Trustees appointed Steve Yuchasz as the township ordinance officer at their regular meeting May 13.

Josh Koury of West Branch landed a 21-inch, 4.12 pound bass fishing from the boardwalk on Skidway Lake today.
